Their belief is a strange one. They believe that the [[Disc]] is likely to topple at any moment unless it is kept perfectly balanced. So monks are sent out to put a weight somewhere to maintain, well, balance. Many a traveller has tripped over a 1lb weight on some mountain peak. The weights are always less than 14.14 pounds.<br /> <br /> They must be correct as the Disc is still the right way up. <br /> <br /> The monks do not actively recruit but the monastery is open to all who can reach it.
