			==Time enough?==
			It's more than five weeks now and it seems like time to start writing this up, but I don't feel inspired, nor is there much other input. It's not just that this is the '''LAST''' book, depressing enough, but there's so much else in the way. The book is unfinished, the work of a committee trying to piece together Terry's valedictory and managing only to leave bits of Pratchett brilliance interspersed with fragments of other unfinished works and some connective tissue.

			The fragmentation makes it harder than usual to grasp themes: Mephistopheles the goat doesn't seem to ''go'' anywhere; Eskarina pops in and out to no apparent purpose; baby Tiffany Standish-Robinson just disappears...if only he'd had another few months.

			I haven't started my copy yet. I haven't read the rest of the Tiffany Aching series before now - simply haven't got around to it - and the idea of the last novel is a bit daunting (but I'm in half a mind to read it backwards, so knowing the future I learn the past). Nonetheless, thought I might share this which came into my inbox today from the Discworld Emporium:

I won't spoil it for anyone yet to read it. But be prepared for a big shocker in the first thirty pages. And even this is setting up bigger things still.
