A falchion is rather more then a small sword, or large knife. Timberdoodle 00:14, 2 August 2011 (CEST)
:How much more? That seems a reasonable summary of the descriptions in Wikipedia or other Googled sources. --Old Dickens 00:53, 2 August 2011 (CEST)
On wikipedia the only actual length description I could find was 37.5 inches long, with a 31.5 inch blade and on , they are described as being between 37 and 40 inches long, which I would say is more than a short sword. On the other hand, if you happen to be a troll, then it would certainly look like a large knife or small sword. (Or possibly just a toothpick after you are done eating its owner.) Timberdoodle 16:52, 3 August 2011 (CEST)
