This wants amalgamation with Hogswatch, preferably losing the equation with Christmas. Hogswatch is the winter solstice, which coincides with the New Year, and resembles all the Roundworld solstice festivities except Christmas; it has no religious component. (Christmas was only moved to the solstice to take advantage of the older celebrations that were going on already, and the Hogfather's no fat, Coke-swilling bishop.) --Old Dickens 17:39, 3 January 2008 (CET)
