I was reading and came across the section where she's called Captain and then through the rest of the book she's a sergeant afterwards. I think I was hasty in the revision when I came across it but, it stuck out in my mind since she seemingly attained the rank in Thud! and then lost it later in the same book through mysterious circumstances. | I was reading and came across the section where she's called Captain and then through the rest of the book she's a sergeant afterwards. Maybe its a mistake that's exclusive to the kindle edition I have. They only referenced her once as Captain in the beginning when she's showing Sally around so its easy to overlook. I don't have a physical copy to reference unfortunately.

:Ah yes. It's "Sergeant" in my copy (HarperTorch pb, unfortunately). You might make an annotation. --Old Dickens (talk) 14:51, 10 February 2013 (GMT)
She is very definitely a Captain in ISWM and may also have been in SN when processing Trevor Likely (need to confirm this). AgProv (talk) 23:56, 10 February 2013 (GMT)

Maybe in Terry just got ahead of himself and promoted her before time? This could be a relict of an earlier draft where Angua had been promoted: it might not have been picked up in the rewrite. Just speculating... Can anyone confirm the recent edit about Captain Angua? She's still a sergeant half-way through Thud! and I can't recall the promotion. --Old Dickens (talk) 23:57, 9 February 2013 (GMT)

- Flipping through, I noticed "sergeant" near the begging, middle and end. I didn't spot a "captain". --Old Dickens (talk) 02:45, 10 February 2013 (GMT)

She is very definitely a Captain in I Shall Wear Midnight and may also have been in Snuff when processing Trevor Likely (need to confirm this). AgProv (talk) 23:56, 10 February 2013 (GMT)
