Wheeler

A long-dead alien race predating both the Spindle and humanity. From discovered relics, they took the form of silicon hemispheres propelled on three natural wheels. Under later granite deposits, there may well be whole Wheeler cities, compressed like pressed flowers, awaiting discovery.
