First Use
I seem to recall that Miss Tick first made a shamble in The Wee Free Men. She used it at the beginning before she went to the Chalk. Can anyone verify? 74.136.108.40 02:57, 21 October 2006 (CEST)

- Possibly one of the Faculty. Specific references would be helpful, particularly the first known citation of thaumometer. They may be something that has developed rapidly in the era of High Energy Magic, like the mobile phone. --Emen 10:01, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
