Terry Pratchett: the Shakespeare Codex or, NOT the Science of Discworld II is a stage-play by Stephen Briggs based on a combination of two of Terry Pratchett's works: Lords and Ladies and The Science of Discworld II: the Globe as well as A Midsummer Nights Dream by the original Shakespeare (on which the other two are also based). The play was first staged and performed in 2016 by Studio Theatre Club, of which Stephen Briggs is a member, who have performed several other plays based on Discworld Novels.

Blurb

Based loosely on The Science of Discworld II: the Globe, Lords and Ladies, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Shakespeare Codex is a new Discworld stage adaptation written to commemorate Terry Pratchett's life and works.

Discworld’s motley band of characters team up and stop the elves taking over our world, make Shakespeare write A Midsummer Night's Dream ... and ensure the potato is discovered!

Pratchett and Shakespeare fans may also spot snippets from Maskerade, Wyrd Sisters, Richard III, Henry V, Hamlet and others as two worlds collide. Featuring Ridcully, Rincewind, Granny Weatherwax, Angua, Vetinari, the Bard himself, Queen Elizabeth I (and the Earl of Oxford), this is an unmissable new adventure for Discworld readers, dramatised by Terry Pratchett's long-time collaborator Stephen Briggs.
