Sister Agnes

Sister Agnes is a nun who is senior in the order that raised the orphan Joshua Valienté. She is (among others) the nearest thing Joshua knew to a mother and the consequent affection is great on both sides. Towards the end of her life, Lobsang saw to it that her essence was preserved in a biological robot designed to simulate a human body as closely as possible. Agnes accepted this, but insisted the android body be allowed to age "naturally" with the years. She then has a second chance to grow old more-or-less gracefully.
