Hog-ringing is another of those quaint rural customs referenced in The Celebrated Discworld Almanak and noted by Georgina Bradshaw in Mrs Bradshaw's Guide to the Rail Ways. It may in context have to do with the cut of the pork-carcass referred to by butchers as "The Rings of Bissonomy". Hog-ringing is best performed in the month of Sektober.
