Termagants

A mysterious, almost mythical creature who inhabit the Carpet, in fact they may now be extinct. They have a rare ability to cause premature fosilisation to anything which looks into there eyes.

Physically they are twice as high as the men of the carpet, with green scales on both it's tail and face. It also has large misty blue eyes and bony clawed feet.

One was encountered during The Carpet People that was only and lonely, it may have been the last of its kind. It used to be worshiped in it own temple where people brought it offerings of coins and jewel, it even wore some of the chains.

There was no cure to it's curse known but Snibril discovered that the tears of the Termigant would unfreeze the victim.
