Botney Street

Botney Street is a somewhat down-at-heel area of the Dolly Sisters district of the city, where people suffer from low social expectations and the Crab Bucket Syndrome. From context in Unseen Academicals, it would appear to be a street feeding into Lobbin Clout. Pepe lived (or existed) here for a while before getting out of the bucket and re-inventing himself as a Dwarf.

The name Botney was invented by David Nobbs in the Henry Pratt books (Sergeant Botney). It is Yentob backwards, as in Alan Yentob.
