Brother Auguste is the Cloister member (Teaching Clown) at the Fools' Guild School who is responsible for imparting Gymnastics And P.E., including tightrope walking. As his image in the appropriate yearbook shows a clown who is seemingly physically obese and utterly un-athletic looking, it is possible that this is part of the joke. However, like Mr Nivor at the Assassins' Guild School, he may well be one of those generously-built men who surprises everybody by being naturally nimble and light on his feet.
