Champal
Now a quiet little backwater town in The Shires near the formal border with Quirm, Champal has a declared population of 765. it is served by the Quirm main line railway, and the railway station at Champal Junction is, for unavoidable engineering reasons (trans: somebody screwed up the surveying), some way distant of the town itself. Champal is the former country seat of King Lorenzo the Kind, and his castle is now a museum in which the King's extensive collection of torture implements (many of which he designed himself) are on display to delight and educate. After the King's fall, the Selachii family managed to acquire most of the former royal estates and are now the main local landowners, a fact marked by the local tavern being called the Selachii Arms.
