Easy

The Easy family are residents of Cockbill Street, and typical of the neighborhood: numerous, self-effacing, and too poor to paint but too proud to whitewash. Mrs. Flora Easy raised nine children in a tiny flat, and sewed clothing late into the night to make ends meet.

During the events of Feet of Clay, Mrs. Easy's granddaughter Mildred took home "perks" from her job as a maid at the Patrician's Palace, including candle-ends to light Mrs. Easy's evening needlework. Tragically, some of the candles in question had been saturated with arsenic as part of the plot against Vetinari, and both Mrs. Easy and her fourteen-month-old grandson William succumbed to their toxic fumes.
