Fat Lunchtime

Fat Lunchtime is the carnival to end all carnivals. Held annually on the night of Samedi Nuit Mort in Genua, there is costumed dancing and drinking on the streets and revelry beyond anything known on Roundworld where the overriding themes are eating and drinking far too much, the overtuning of social conventions, accepted sexual liberty for a night, music and parading in the streets. So imagine what it must be like in Genua!
Annotation
Fat Lunchtime is a reference to Mardi Gras, literally "Fat Tuesday", the day when traditionally all the rich, naughty food was finished up in a feast before the ritual fasting of the Lenten season, which begins on Ash Wednesday.
