Great Hall

The large eating area and banqueting suite at Unseen University where many key events happen throughout the Discworld canon, from Granny Weatherwax's duel with then-Archchancellor Cutangle to Simon's arrival, to the Bursar's first descent into madness, from Ridcully's Wow-Wow Sauce experiment with Modo's compost heap to Coin's amazing sourcery. Women (except servers, of course) are not allowed into the hall, which is decorated with busts and statues of long-dead Archchancellors and liberally bestrewn with long tables that drip with cutlery, glasses and cruets of condiments, and groan mightily under the weight of all the food necessary to keep wizards the correct shape (i.e. conical).
