Talk:Banshees

- Total codswalop this last piece. We were told that Banshees evolved in tropical environment, and the only reason Moist knows how to deal with one is that he had it explained to him by people he encountered in his travels. Not every monster or undead of Discworld originates in Uberwald people. (unsigned comment re: Banshees of Überwald}
Hi 79.101.75.113. The entry on Banshees which you disagree with seemed OK, and the thing about Banshees evolving in a tropical environment doesn't ring any bells with me. Could you say where it can be found? --Emen 19:14, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
- I seem to remember both versions, and it wouldn't be the first time for that sort of conundrum. The annotation, however, seems to be confusing Euripides with Eumenídes (maybe from the old joke). --Old Dickens 20:42, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
- Going Postal - Corgi book - page 320, line 10. The lad(or lass) though, is wrong since it clearly states that there are feral ones in Uberwald on the same page, lines 18 and 19, and it is never specified whom from did Moist gain the advice for confronting Banshees, though I myself did not get an impression that it was something kids were routinely thought.
- Is this the same former Yugoslavian arguing with himself or just a typical Balkan disagreement? Gee, I wish people would sign in. The specified text does seem to say they developed in a jungle area and spread to Überwald, so the central point may be moot. --Old Dickens 23:21, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
