Hmm. Trying to get a hsndle on any meaning this word might have.

"Perny" is defined, rather exicxtably, by the Urban Dictionary as The act of pernying. You can use it in a sentence when you cant think of anything else to say. It is the best, coolest word in the whole world!!!

So it's a sort of metasyntactic variable which qualifies the "popax" part. "Popax" is variably an investment fund with shady connotations (high-yield, high-risk). (In northern Italian slang, it denotes a fat man, or a man with a visible beer gut).

Hmm. Is this the moment where the inspiration ran out in finding suitable august House names, and somebody had the bright idea of proposing "Why don't we call it Wossname House or Dooberry house or Thingummajig house, only put it in an obscure foreign language where it sounds like it actually means something?" I can visualise the House Naming Committee at the AG school being bored, weary and dog-tired at nearly midnight with only one more House to name, and this suggestion being accepted nem con because nobody wanted to argue about it...AgProv (talk) 23:28, 18 February 2013 (GMT)
