They laughed at his funny walk behind his back, but when [[Mau]] asked him about his leg, he said he didn't mind. It was a gift, not a curse. When much is taken, something is given back. Since he had a useless leg, he had a sharp mind, and had to use it. He had noticed Mau among the other boys, as a bit different. He taught him the word that drives sharks away.
